Despite insufficient evidence, the defendant was still sentenced, leading Higuruma to feel disillusioned with the Japanese legal system. His long-accumulated negative emotions transformed into overflowing cursed energy, causing him to expand his domain in court and kill two people. Subsequently, he killed 20 sorcerers participating in the Culling Game, but did not kill any more non-sorcerers.

Originally, Higuruma planned to expand "Deadly Sentencing" while Sukuna was unable to expand his domain, putting Sukuna on trial to seal his slashing technique. Unexpectedly, in actual combat, it sealed Sukuna's cursed tool "Kamutoke" instead, and the slashing technique was not sealed. When Higuruma activates his technique, a gavel manifests in his hand. This gavel can be switched freely between his hands, and by concentrating cursed energy, he can also change its size, length, and shape.

- At the start of the trial in "Deadly Sentencing" (see below), "Judgeman" will open its mouth and state the crimes committed by the defendant one by one, ranging from minor offenses like underage pachinko to major crimes like murder. Domain Expansion: "Deadly Sentencing"
- It is a domain that comes inherently with his cursed technique; once expanded, Higuruma and others are required to stand in their respective seats for the trial.
All acts of violence are prohibited within the domain; this rule applies equally to Higuruma and everyone else. - When the trial begins, as "Judgeman" announces the charges to the defendant, Higuruma receives a piece of evidence. This evidence cannot directly convict the defendant, and Higuruma will not reveal its contents to them—afterward, the defendant must use limited information to "remain silent," "confess," or "deny" the charges to strive for a "not guilty" verdict from "Judgeman." However, the reality is that Higuruma is telepathically informed by the Shikigami "Judgeman" of the evidence's details before even opening it.Curiously, even if the defense's content is false, as long as the evidence cannot prove the defendant is lying, it is still possible to receive a "not guilty" verdict.
- If the defendant cannot defend themselves, or if their defense is proven to be a lie by the evidence, "Judgeman" will sentence them to "guilty." Following this, "Judgeman" will impose "Confiscation" on the defendant, where their Cursed Technique or Cursed Tool will be confiscated (ifthey have no Cursed Technique,then the defendant will be unable to use Cursed Energy.Ironically, the priority for Confiscation is Cursed Tool > Cursed Technique > Cursed Energy. Higuruma himself was unaware of this priority, likely because none of the sorcerers he killed previously carried Cursed Tools. This shows how Gege Akutami (jjxx) applied various debuff patches to favor his "favorite son" Ryomen Sukuna, making Higuruma look like a clown.). If the defendant's crime is extremely heinous, such as mass murder, "Judgeman" will forcibly open its sewn-shut eyes, shed tears of blood, and declare the maximum penalty: "Death Penalty" with "Confiscation" attached.
- When the defendant refuses to plead guilty, they can also choose to have Higuruma conduct a retrial, which is the second instance in judicial proceedings. The difference is that the grounds for prosecution will differ from the first trial; if the resulting verdict is "not guilty," the "Confiscation" from the previous trial will be nullified.
- Higuruma himself can initiate a retrial for the same case, or drag a third party into the domain to be judged together. Furthermore, he has the right to release the technique and revoke the punishment.

Cursed Technique: "Executioner's Sword"
