"Sage" is the highest title for researchers in the Akademiya. Since the Akademiya's founding, the Six Sages have not only been the academic elites of the Six Darshans but also the heads of each school.
From among the Six Sages of the Six Darshans, a "Grand Sage" is elected to serve as the pinnacle governing the Akademiya. The previous Grand Sage of the Akademiya was Azar of Rtawahist.
The Six Darshans
The Akademiya consists of the Six Darshans, each based in one of the six schools, holding permanent seats within the Akademiya. Although the Six Darshans study different fields, the Sages frequently interact with one another due to their administrative duties in managing the Akademiya.
Amurta
- Affiliated with Amurta, it is the oldest Darshan in the Akademiya. It was originally composed of scholars who followed Greater Lord Rukkhadevata to cultivate the rainforest, and it remains the largest to this day.

Kshahrewar
- Based in the Darshan of Kshahrewar, it originated from the study and manufacture of powered mechanisms. Since building mechanisms involves knowledge from various fields, it is a fairly comprehensive school.

- In short, they are either building houses or solving puzzles.
- Research into mechanical life was once all the rage in this school; scholars in this field proposed using knowledge to create a brand-new, useful form of lifeartificial intelligence, to help humanity conquer nature. - Akademiya Extravaganza
