Colleague Eleven Fatui Harbingers
Superior The Tsaritsa
Deception,Experiment Kabukimono
The Doctor "Il Dottore"is from the game "Iris ————《" and its derivative works.
The second of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, "The Doctor." A mad scientist with an excessive thirst for knowledge who disregards all rules. Possessing superior intelligence and a meticulous mind.
Zandik was once a student of the Sumeru Akademiya, possessing extraordinary talent and a haughty nature. The academic insights he proposed were dismissed as heretical due to their involvement in human experimentation and disrespect toward the gods, and he himself was branded a "heretic" and forever?expelled from the Akademiya. The first of the Fatui Harbingers, "The Jester," followed the rumors of a "heretic" and found him in the desert, promising to provide him with an excellent research environment, ample resources, and time to create a "god." After reaching an agreement, The Jester gave him the name "The Doctor."
Once withLaylaHe explored ruins with a certain ancestor, who was also his senior at the Akademiya, and unexpectedly encountered Thoth, the Ibis King. Deeming Thoth a mere fraud attempting to lure mortals into deals, he left a note in the ruins saying "Do not trust the Ibis King." However, because Thoth warned that only descendants of the city of Tulaytullah could enter and leave freely, he was forced to take the wounded senior he had intended to abandon with him when leaving, directly saving the senior's life.
About 400 years ago, he orchestrated the Tatarasuna disaster (see Interlude Chapter: Act III for details), and during the process, he noticed the puppet,Kabukimono, deceiving him into believing he had been betrayed.
Later, Pierro recruited the puppet, who had discarded the name "Kabukimono" and was wandering about, into the Fatui. "The Doctor" persuaded the puppet to join his research. Through his study of the puppet, "The Doctor" mastered the technology of "Segments,"[3]creating segments of himself from different ages. Each segment possesses the ability to act and think independently, though their personalities differ.
The previous "Knave," Crucabena, had a cooperative relationship with "The Doctor," sending children who lost in "duels" to him for human experimentation. The current "Knave,"Arlecchinoafter taking office, he proposed many cooperation plans to Arlecchino. "The Knave" rejected most of these proposals, retaining only one secret experiment—"Fire in a Bottle," a potion made by extracting a portion of the flames from "The Knave's" body, which can erase a person's memories.
A few years ago, "The Doctor" "happened to pass by" and "conveniently slew" Ursa the Drake, which had long been hounding Mondstadt. In reality, Ursa had been lured by a mechanical bird used by a Fatui mole planted within the Knights. In the manga, Diluc's father, Crepus, died because he was forced to use the power of a Delusion to fight Ursa.
Since then, the Fatui have used this incident to coerce their ally, Mondstadt, into conscripting soldiers, actually using the conscripted Mondstadters as subjects for human experimentation.
Before the events of the manga, "The Doctor" conducted research on Eleazar patients at the base of the Varuna Contraption and in the Eleazar hospital in the desert. He once injected Collei, an Eleazar patient, with Archon Residue. Although the specific details are unknown, "The Doctor" did indeed temporarily suppress Collei's Eleazar. He also seems to have dispatched personnel to Vimara Village to kidnap children in order to capture Aranara.
"The Doctor" visited Mondstadt withDilucWearing a mask, he attacked Krupp and suppressed him with the power of a Delusion to interrogate him, but before Krupp could reveal "The Doctor's" goal, he was by the Doctor
"The Doctor" chose to let Diluc grow after observing his Delusion, believing that his "future might be a bit more interesting." As "The Doctor" left Mondstadt, heAmberpassed by Amber, and after seeing Amber's Vision, he compared Visions to "consumable parts found everywhere."
Afterward, as a reward for discovering that Diluc was a Delusion user, "The Doctor" modified Krupp's body into a cyborg and let it roam the Mondstadt wilderness.
During the Black Fire Incident, "The Doctor" sent his subordinate, the Missionary, to capturethe culprit, but in the end, they failed to catch the person. Instead, the Missionary was severely injured by a disguised Diluc and Amber working together. Diluc, who had "allowed himself to be captured" as a scapegoat, also escaped midway. "The Doctor" only received Diluc's broken Delusion. "The Doctor" rebuked Diluc for degenerating into trash.
Childe mentioned that "The Doctor occasionally has a hobby of tinkering with old things." Previously, the Doctor modified a ruin in Lisha Outskirts to study Ruin Guards, abandoning the ruin after losing interest.
Attended "La Signora's" funeral in Snezhnaya. When "The Capitano" asked him about"Scaramouche"and the location of Inazuma's Gnosis, he responded: "Conventional wisdom holds that '
"The Doctor" replied to the Young Girl's inquiry, stating that the "segment" in its prime wasin an experiment concerning "blasphemy".
"The Doctor" found the missing Scaramouche, brought him and the Electro Gnosis he obtained back to Sumeru, and proposed creating a new God of Wisdom using the puppet Scaramouche as the core, thereby infiltrating the Akademiya.
When the Traveler and "Lesser Lord Kusanali"Nahidaintended to learn about the Akademiya's plan,
"The Doctor" set off to return to Snezhnaya at the summons of the "Tsaritsa." Before leaving, he went to Pardis Dhyai to demand the scholar Haypasia, who was delirious due to "Scaramouche's" influence, from Tighnari, but was refused. While leaving Sumeru by boat from Port Ormos, he spotted the Traveler tracking him and waved. Meanwhile, he sent subordinates to Pardis Dhyai to seize Haypasia by force, but they failed because the ascended "Scaramouche" launched indiscriminate attacks on the Fatui soldiers.
The Traveler rescued the imprisoned Nahida, defeated the ascended "Scaramouche," and healed the Irminsul. When the Traveler, Paimon, and Nahida left the Irminsul, "The Doctor" used a hypnotic device to knock out the Traveler and Paimon and appeared before Nahida, revealing that the "Doctor" who left was merely one of his many segments. At that time, Nahida was no match for "The Doctor," but she calmly used "destroying the Gnosis" as a threat to force "The Doctor" into an equal exchange, making him destroy all his segments in exchange for the Electro Gnosis. Subsequently, "The Doctor" exchanged the Dendro Gnosis for some truths about the continent of Teyvat.
After obtaining the Electro and Dendro Gnoses, "The Doctor's" remaining, most selfish and powerful segment left Sumeru.
About 400 years ago, "The Doctor" disguised himself as the Fontaine craftsman Escher and caused the leakage of the Tatarasuna furnace's Tatarigami under the guise of bringing new technology, orchestrating the Tatarasuna disaster. He then murdered Niwa, the then-Armory Officer, and deceived "Scaramouche," who was still the Kabukimono at the time, leading Scaramouche to believe Niwa had betrayed him and fled to avoid punishment. Scaramouche learned the truth about the past while reading memories within the Irminsul and developed a hatred for "The Doctor."
Many "Ancient Moon Remains," wreckage of Source Physics technology from the era of the Sovereigns, appeared in the skies above Natlan. "The Doctor" dispatched a squad to infiltrate Nordkale, not far from Snezhnaya. Mavuika suspects that the appearance of the Ancient Moon Remains is linked to "The Doctor's" actions.
Mentioned by "The Knave" and "Marionette" after the battle with Reryll. "The Knave" calls him a "good colleague," while "Marionette" remarks that "The Doctor" hasn't bothered her for a long time. "The Knave" says "The Doctor" won't stay quiet forever and that she and "Marionette" should keep a close eye on him.
The Traveler and others found and organized notes left by Zandik in the ruins. Through the oral account of Thoth, King of the Ibises, the group learned the story behind the notes.
Although the Traveler was still concerned about "The Doctor," who had been investigating the moon since Natlan, there had been no news of him. It wasn't until the night of the Moon Prayer, as Columbina was about to return to the moon as planned, that "The Doctor" suddenly appeared. It turned out that "The Doctor," hiding in the shadows, had secretly completed preparations to capture Columbina. Using technology obtained from the Hyperborea ruins, he created a brighter "Pseudo-Moon" outside the False Sky. This interfered with Columbina's teleportation spell to return to the moon, sending her directly to "The Doctor." "The Doctor" usurped the power of the Three Moons, putting everyone into a state of time-stop, except for the Traveler, who as a Descender was unaffected. However, the Traveler still struggled against "The Doctor's" immense power. To prevent "The Doctor" from capturing her and obtaining the full power of the Three Moons, Columbina opened the Moon Gate like Solindis and jumped into the space behind it without hesitation. Lacking Columbina's Frost Moon power, "The Doctor's" plan was temporarily thwarted, and he left with two pieces of Moon Marrow.
According to Arlecchino and Sandrone's investigation, "The Doctor" feigned a return to Snezhnaya but was actually hiding in a research facility in the northernmost part of Nordkale; the two had already headed there. The Traveler's group engaged in a fierce battle with "The Doctor" at the facility, but with the enhancement of the incomplete Artificial Moon Marrow, "The Doctor's" power reached a level the group could not withstand. During the retreat, the Traveler was captured by "The Doctor," and those who barely escaped found themselves afflicted by "The Doctor's" curse. "The Doctor" showed the Traveler various so-called miracles and used rhetoric to try and persuade the Traveler to cooperate. Meanwhile, energy domains deployed by "The Doctor" appeared in parts of Nordkale. The Wanderer, Albedo, and Durin investigated these domains and discovered "The Doctor" conducting cruel experiments inside. Nefer found the location of the Traveler and "The Doctor" through state simulation. The Wanderer infiltrated the energy domain, caught "The Doctor" off guard using an information gap, and successfully rescued the Traveler.
With the Artificial Moon Marrow complete and possessing the full power of the Three Moons, "The Doctor" arrived at Naxia Town, intending to eliminate the resistance there once and for all. "The Doctor's" power was unstoppable, and the group members were sealed in pocket dimensions one by one. To buy time to complete the World Formula that would bring Columbina back, Sandrone covered the Traveler and Pronia (carrying the Wanderer's core) and was brutally killed by "The Doctor." However, the true moon outside the False Sky returned, and the reborn Three Moons Goddess Columbina came back, joining forces with everyone to defeat the false god of the Pseudo-Moon. "The Doctor" was reduced to ashes under the moonlight. But is it truly so?

Notorious throughout the world as a "Heretic," the Second Seat of the Fatui Harbingers, "The Doctor," having seized the authority of the three moons, has now stepped onto the ladder leading to the divine throne of the "New World."
We should have had everything.
Reason has exiled all things inconceivable, making it impossible for the world to ever reach its true nature;
Life and death have created a cage of mortal flesh, imprisoning the ambitions of every soul;
Time and space have limited the boundaries of human thought, making people short-sighted and submissive.
Since then, hypocritical gods have ruled the world, each claiming to be the only one correct in the name of truth, yet not one is worthy of such a title.
The flux of life does not possess an ordered structure; only by erasing the layers of shackles imposed upon this world can one glimpse the essence of all things.
That is the light of the New World.
"Are you truly willing to endure this pedantic and outdated world?"

After entering battle, three "Simulated Ancient Moon Remnants" will descend evenly around the arena, while "The Doctor" will immediately prepare a Moonfall Impact. At this time, player characters must immediately move behind a "Simulated Ancient Moon Remnant" to dodge, or they will be instantly killed by the Moonfall Impact. Thereafter, "The Doctor" will release this skill again at long intervals.
Every so often, "The Doctor" will use the seized authority of the three moons to cast an edict upon the player character:
If the edict is not violated until it is lifted, the Elemental Energy of all types for the entire party will be immediately restored to its maximum; if the "Iris Moon" or "Frost Moon" edicts are violated, "The Doctor" will immediately drain all Elemental Energy from the entire party and use projectors to launch successive attacks on the character. The "Eternal Moon" edict is always considered followed.
During battle, "The Doctor" will attempt to summon "Lunar Simulacra" and generate "Lunar Eclipse Domains" around the arena. The "Lunar Eclipse Domain" will slowly expand while continuously releasing Cryo pulses, and characters within the "Lunar Eclipse Domain" will have their movement speed decreased. Characters can enter the internal space through the corresponding rift; if all "Lunar Simulacra" within are defeated, the corresponding "Lunar Eclipse Domain" will be cleared, dealing a certain amount of damage to "The Doctor".
If "The Doctor" receives a high amount of damage in a single instance, he will immediately increase all Resistances and subsequently restore a certain amount of HP.
