Introduction
- Kurourushi is a...KenjakuA Special Grade Cursed Spirit released from Cursed Spirit Manipulation and placed into the Sendai Colony of the Culling Game, holding 54 points.
- After discovering Dhruv Lakdawalla, who held 91 points at the time, it judged itself to be at a disadvantage and chose to enter a state of dormancy, using Dhruv's life or death as a trigger condition, which was later broken by Yuta Okkotsu.
- An unregistered Special Grade Cursed Spirit, presumed to be similar to Ko-guy, born from humanity's hatred and contempt for cockroaches.

On November 12, 2018, at 11:28 AM, in the Sendai Colony of the Culling Game, the four-way deadlock between Kurourushi, Dhruv, Ryu Ishigori, and Takako Uro was broken by the intrusion of Yuta Okkotsu. After Dhruv was slain by Yuta Okkotsu, Kurourushi, who had been dormant due to the threat of Dhruv's presence, awakened. It controlled a massive swarm of cockroaches to devour and bite the refugees saved by Yuta, subsequently engaging in a duel with him. After several rounds of simple and brutal hand-to-hand combat and minor skirmishes with cockroaches, the two began a blade-to-blade confrontation. Unexpectedly, Kurourushi's "Fester Life Blade" could fire eggs; Yuta was distracted by the larvae biting his shoulder and took a direct slash to the abdomen from Kurourushi. Just as everyone thought the battle was decided, Yuta lunged forward, bit Kurourushi's mouth, and continuously outputted positive cursed energyIt was me, Okkotsu!, and grabbed its head off in one go; Kurourushi was thus defeated. As Yuta, Ishigori, and Uro expanded their Domains simultaneously, that black demon, which should have been reduced to ashes, suddenly appeared within the barrier |
Abilities

- Summons twothat are particularly prominent in the crotch area'sA weirdly shaped cursed spirit carrying giant sacs; when its sacs are broken, they spray a liquid that can damage the opponent's eyes.
Cursed Tool: "Fester Life Blade"
- A terrifying blunt blade, a demonic sword that exists between life and death.
- The hollows on the blade contain insect eggs, which can be fired at the opponent during battle, growing into larvae that gnaw at the opponent's flesh.

Trivia
- A colored version of Kurourushi is printed on the left flap of Volume 20 of the tankobon.
- In the summary of the source of points obtained by Okkotsu in the appendix of Chapter 181 of the manga, Kurourushi is represented by a cockroach, corresponding to its identity as a cockroach Cursed Spirit.
Notes
- ↑ After the Four Disasters, Ko-guy, and others were exorcised, it served as the last independent hostile Cursed Spirit in the main story of Jujutsu Kaisen. After it, there were no more major hostile Cursed Spirit characters acting independently.
