| —Satoru Gojo to Yuta Okkotsu | ||
Yuta Okkotsu(Japanese:
The protagonist of the prequel series, *Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School*.
A second-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High, and one of the fourSpecial Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers.Because Rika's curse was broken at the end of the prequel, Yuta was demoted to Grade 4 by the jujutsu world, but later rose back to Special Grade. At the end of Volume 0, he was Grade 4 when wearing the black uniform; the white uniform is for "problem children" (to make them easier to distinguish), and since he eventually returned to Special Grade, his uniform became white again.。
Although he claims to have little physical strength, he can crush a wall with one foot and throw a car with one hand.
A descendant of Sugawara no Michizane, one of Japan's Three Great Vengeful Spirits,Gojo Satorua distant relative, he has more cursed energy than Satoru Gojo, but if the two were to fight, Gojo would win (because Yuta consumes more cursed energy than Gojo). He has a younger sister.
He has a serious personality and dislikes pranks or joking around, and receives his juniors'Megumi Fushigurorespect.Since Yuta's hairstyle in the prequel clashed with Megumi's in the main series, it was changed to an "air intake" hairstyle in the main series.。
He is very good at making things with modeling clay.
He is a vegetarian and dislikes fried fatty meat.
He feels stressed when he can't see his classmates.
Shares vision with Rika. In the futurepossiblyhe might fall in love with a girl other than Rika.

A: It probably started from constructing the duo of him andRikaas a pair.
A: The surname is because it sounds cool, and the given name is as it implies.
A: It's simply because he andMegumi Fushigurohad the same hairstyle.
A: It's likely because Rika can see what Okkotsu sees; they can share their vision.
A: The reason it is said that sorcerers do not produce cursed spirits is that sorcerers basically do not leak cursed energy. A sorcerer's cursed energy does not accumulate to create cursed spirits (and besides, it wouldn't be accumulated in the first place). However, sorcerers themselves can turn into curses, and in Rika's case, Yuta unconsciously used his cursed energy to retain her soul. Normally, the souls of the dead cannot be intentionally detained, but Yuta's unconscious action (though his true heart wished for Rika to pass on) and Rika's strong desire to be with Yuta resulted in this bug-like Binding Vow.
A: At first, there were no large-scale accidents (mostly just domestic disputes). It wasn't until the incident at the beginning of Volume 0, where people were stuffed into lockers, that investigations and records began. Several sorcerers were killed in retaliation, and finally, it was handed over toGojo Satorufor handling.
A: He still keeps in touch with his younger sister as usual, but things are a bit difficult with his parents.
A: The Okkotsu family are all non-sorcerers; Yuta is something like a case of atavism.
A: Rather than saying he "used" her, it's more like she "accidentally came out," and cleaning up the aftermath was quite a struggle.
A: He once became an ordinary Grade 4 sorcerer. This is also why he wore a black uniform at the end of Volume 0 (the white one was because Yuta was initially a problem child, so his position could be identified at a glance). Later, he was reinstated to his former rank.
A: He doesn't lead the way in fooling around, and he is insanely strong. A: Not at that time. UnlikeSukuna, there were still many unknowns about Rika, so the old man was in a wait-and-see state.
A: He probably will in the future... |

On his birthday as a child, Yuta once with his childhood friendRika Orimotomade a marriage promise, but unfortunately, Rika later died in a sudden car accident. Because he refused to accept the death of his childhood friend Rika, Yuta unconsciously linked Rika's soul with cursed energy, causing her soul to remain and become a Special Grade Cursed Spirit possessing him.You are alsoClow Reed. Over the course of six years, Rika caused many incidents, but because none were on a large scale, they went unnoticed by the jujutsu world. It was only after four students who bullied Yuta were severely injured by Rika and stuffed into lockers that the jujutsu world took notice. Yuta was sentenced to a secret execution, and he himself agreed, but he wasGojo Satorudissuaded and joined Jujutsu High to study. Yuta's first mission was withMaki Zen'inteaming up to exorcise cursed spirits in an elementary school. The two encountered a giant cursed spirit in the school building and were swallowed into its stomach (where they also found two weak ordinary children); Maki lost her cursed tool and fell injured. In his panic and despair, Yuta was admonished by Maki and understood his purpose for coming to Jujutsu High. He released Rika to instant-kill the cursed spirit, then carried Maki and the two children out of the school to find Satoru Gojo waiting outside.
After the mission, Yuta finally realized that he was the one who cursed Rika, rather than "Rika cursing him" as he had always thought. He resolved to break Rika's curse and gradually learned to use a katana through repeated sparring sessions with Maki.
Later, Yuta was assigned to team up with Toge Inumaki for a mission in an abandoned shopping district. Due to the language barrier, Yuta didn't know Toge well and was even a bit afraid of him. After Toge easily instant-killed a group of low-level cursed spirits with a single "Blast away!", the two encountered a more powerful cursed spirit. While running, Toge accidentally lost his throat medicine, making him temporarily unable to use Cursed Speech. Yuta intended to go find the medicine, but Toge stopped him. Yuta then realized that Toge had actually been caring for him all along, trying to comfort and protect him in his nervousness. Afterward, Yuta and Toge killed the cursed spirit through perfect coordination (Yuta engaged in close combat while retrieving the throat medicine and throwing it to Toge in the distance). From then on, Yuta truly became close friends with the other three first-years. Unfortunately, after this mission, Rika's immense power was by the defectedSuguru Getotargeted. Geto came to Jujutsu High to preach his ideals to Yuta while also harshly mocking the cursed-energy-less Maki Zen'in. Yuta flatly refused Geto's recruitment, leading Geto to declare that he would launch the "Night Parade of a Hundred Demons" in Shinjuku, Tokyo, and Kyoto on December 24th. In reality, this was Geto's diversionary tactic; his true targets were Yuta and Rika, who remained at Jujutsu High.
In Shinjuku, Gojo realized Geto's true intention and teleported Panda and Toge back to Jujutsu High to protect Yuta, while he stayed behind to hold off the curse users and cursed spirits. Unfortunately, Geto was too powerful, and the three first-years other than Yuta were all defeated and fell heavily injured. Filled with rage, Yuta began his battle against Geto. Facing Geto's Special Grade Imaginary Vengeful Cursed Spirit "Tamamo-no-Mae Incarnate" and the "Uzumaki" formed by the fusion of 4,461 cursed spirits, Yuta chose to release Rika's cursed energy at the cost of his own life, toSuguru Getoseverely wounding him, and finally, Satoru Gojo personally killed his former best friend.
After the battle, Yuta finally came to terms with Rika's death, andRika Orimotoreleased her from the curse. Rika departed after saying goodbye to Yuta, successfully breaking the curse. At the same time, Yuta learned that he and Satoru Gojo are very distant relatives.
After that, Yuta went abroad with Miguel, a former member of Geto's faction, for training and missions. During this time, they also searched for stock of the Black Rope, a cursed tool Miguel had used that could disrupt any cursed technique, but it turned out there was no stock left.(One less method to unseal the Prison Realm that seals Satoru Gojo in the future, until stock becomes available years later in "Jujutsu Kaisen")。 PS: Due to Rika's departure, Yuta demoted from Special Grade back to Grade 4, but it only took him three months to return to Special Grade. |

Hard and White After the Shibuya Incident,Yuji Itadori's suspended death sentence was changed to immediate execution, and at the same time, Okkotsu returned to Japan. Having exorcised some of the cursed spirits plaguing Tokyo, Okkotsu was recalled by the higher-ups of the Jujutsu world and appointed asYuji Itadori's executioner. Okkotsu found Itadori in Shibuya and engaged him in a duel (despite claiming he didn't have much strength, he could crush a wall with one foot and throw a car with one hand), cutting through Itadori's dagger but having his own katana kicked and broken by Itadori, after which he released Rika[6]to restrain Itadori, and stabbed the broken blade into Itadori's heart. Okkotsu dragged the unconscious Itadori away, and in passing, knocked down the one who defeated Naoya Zenin,Choso, with a single punch. However, in reality, Okkotsu did not kill Itadori; at the same time he pierced his heart, he also injected Reverse Cursed Technique to heal him. Okkotsu informed the awakened Itadori that he had actually returned at Satoru Gojo's request to protect the students of Tokyo Jujutsu High, while also comforting Itadori, who felt guilty over Sukuna's indiscriminate killing of innocents.
Culling Game Okkotsu, Itadori, Fushiguro, and Choso returned to Tokyo Jujutsu High and met with Maki, Tsukumo, and others in the basement to seeTengen, learning about the true purpose of the fake Geto and the method to rescue Satoru Gojo. After the group's discussion, Okkotsu decided to enter the Sendai "Culling Game" barrier first to fight, and in a very short period of time, he successively defeated two of the four major sorcerers dominating the Sendai region's "Culling Game," Dhruv Lakdawalla. In the original manga, he was chased to an open-air stadium and slashed to death with a blade, while the TV anime changed it to an assassination with a single strike in the spectator seats.Battle with KurourushiThis Special Grade cockroach cursed spirit died after Yuta channeled Reverse Cursed Technique through his mouth after it had restrained his hands.Afterward, Yuta encountered Takako Uro, one of the four major sorcerers who possesses a Cursed Technique to manipulate the "sky," and was ambushed by the last of the four, Ryu Ishigori, during the battle. After weighing the pros and cons, Yuta decided to defeat Ishigori first, while Uro intended to kill both of them, resulting in a three-way free-for-all. After being repeatedly hit by Ishigori's "Granite Blast" and Uro's "Thin Ice Breaker," the injured Yuta had no choice but to summon Rika, who had been protecting the civilians hiding in the stadium, to prepare for a full-scale battle. The two opponents thought Yuta was closing shop (Ishigori thought Yuta's cursed energy was depleted), but in reality, he was just about to open for business with the lady boss.
Yuta activated a copied Cursed Speech to freeze Uro in mid-air, and then Rika knocked her away. Ishigori attacked the two, and Yuta decided to split up from Rika. Yuta used Dhruv's copied Cursed Technique to fight Uro and gained the upper hand. However, Rika struggled in her fight against Ishigori. The three sorcerers and one cursed spirit eventually converged again as they fought. Upon meeting once more, all three unhesitatingly activated "Domain Expansion." Both Uro and Ishigori decided to exclude Rika when expanding their domains to try and defeat Yuta inside. While Rika was trying to find a way to break into the domain from the outside, the supposedly dead Kurourushi suddenly reappeared and attacked Rika and the three inside the domain. It turned out that Kurourushi had completed parthenogenesis before dying; while the Kurourushi who was a player had died, the Kurourushi as a cursed spirit was still alive. While Rika was busy dealing with its army of cockroaches, Kurourushi shattered the three's domains. Uro's focus was momentarily disrupted by Kurourushi, and Yuta took the opportunity to knock her out of the sky. Uro fell into a bitter struggle with Kurourushi and lost her left arm, then was hit by Ishigori's "Granite Blast" aimed at both her and Kurourushi, temporarily losing her ability to fight. The damaged Kurourushi was then grabbed by the head by Yuta and killed again using Reverse Cursed Technique. Thus, the one-on-one duel between Yuta Okkotsu and Ryu Ishigori began. Ishigori and Yuta each fired their own blasts at each other, but Yuta's blast was actually fired independently by Rika, so while Ishigori was busy with the beam struggle, Yuta rushed directly in front of him. After quickly managing to neutralize Rika's attack, Ishigori fired a "Granite Blast" at Yuta. Unexpectedly, Yuta deflected the blast with his arm, as he had already successfully copied Takako Uro's Cursed Technique and used the "Sky" to defend. Next, Yuta activated the copied "Thin Ice Breaker" to hit Ishigori, and Rika's fist also struck him. Finally, the "Granite Blast" that Yuta had deflected earlier fell from the sky and hit the heavily injured Ishigori, leaving him unable to get up. Ultimately, Yuta's battle against the four major sorcerers ended in his victory. After the battle, Yuta sat beside Ishigori and talked with him for a while, finally leaving after receiving the points transferred from him and Uro.Yuta had a total of 190 points at the time; Akutami accidentally wrote it as 200 points in the manga and later issued a correction notice. Before he left, Uro warned Yuta that he would reach his limit first, as she had personally witnessed that calamity (Sukuna) who transcended the strong, possessed an overwhelming ego, and disregarded the lives of others. Afterward, Yuta and his companions liberated Satoru Gojo, who had been sealed for 19 days. One month before the final battle, he went to the Headquarters with Inumaki and obtained a recorder with Inumaki's Cursed Speech recorded on it, and together with Gojo, they eliminated the Jujutsu higher-ups and their Headquarters personnel. He went abroad once more and successfully persuaded Miguel and Larue to join the battle, coordinating the timing of their entry. On the day of the decisive battle, he saw Gojo off to face Sukuna. During the broadcast of the battle between the two, Yuta wanted to go and assist but was stopped by Hajime Kashimo. Finally, Yuta and the others witnessed Gojo's death. Baka Survivor!! After Kenjaku defeated Fumihiko Takaba, Yuta Okkotsu suddenly burst into the battlefield,In coordination with Aoi Todo's "Boogie Woogie: Revised," who had been lurking in the shadows (mentioned in Chapter 269 of the manga),He quickly circled behind Kenjaku and decapitated him with a single strike. However, due to the loss of Kenjaku's control, the "Cursed Spirit Manipulation" technique remaining in Suguru Geto's body went berserk, and Yuta and Rika immediately began exterminating the cursed spirits. Kenjaku took this opportunity to tell Kogane to add a rule, handing over the authority to activate the merger between Tengen and humanity to Megumi Fushiguro (now Sukuna), and after teleporting away the physical body of Tengen hidden in his hand, his head was pierced by Yuta's blade. Shinjuku Showdown At the same time Yuta killed Kenjaku, Ryomen Sukuna was engaged in a bloody battle with Yuji Itadori and Hiromi Higuruma in Shinjuku. After Higuruma's defeat, Yuta Okkotsu arrived at the main battlefield with Rika, and the battle between the King of Curses and the Queen of Curses and her lover began. Yuta believed that his obsession with killing Kenjaku led to Higuruma's sacrifice and decided to give his all to put an end to everything here. After a bout of hand-to-hand combat with Sukuna, Yuta seized the opportunity to activate "Domain Expansion: Authentic Mutual Love," sealing Itadori, Sukuna, and himself within the barrier. Sukuna activated "Hollow Wicker Basket" to neutralize Yuta's sure-hit technique, but was hit by the "Thin Ice Breaker" copied by Yuta. Yuta's plan was gradually understood by Sukuna: Yuta's own attacks served to compensate for the neutralized technique, while Itadori would use his soul-striking martial arts to attempt to strip Sukuna from Megumi's body. Yuta and Itadori's tactics were very effective. Yuta utilized various cursed techniques he had copied so far, even including Sukuna's own technique, leading Sukuna to believe that his final finger had been consumed by Rika, continuously striking Sukuna, while Itadori also successfully touched Megumi's soul. However, Megumi Fushiguro himself had lost the will to live, and at the same time, after a series of chants, Sukuna unleashed another "Dismantle," hitting Yuta. Yuta was severely injured, and his domain shattered. However, the battle did not end there. Taking Yuta's place and immediately descending onto the battlefield was the second-generation Heavenly Restriction—Maki Zen'in. Yuta was transferred to the rear for treatment by Ui Ui and Kirara. Knowing he was severely wounded and needed Rika's assistance just to maintain consciousness, and fearing he was beyond saving, Yuta decided to activate the backup plan: using the technique of Kenjaku that Rika had previously consumed, he would control Satoru Gojo's remains to fight. Before the battle, Yuta had discussed this plan with Maki, Hakari, Shoko, and others. Despite their strong opposition (from a safety standpoint, Yuta's connection with Rika can only last for 5 minutes, after which Yuta might die immediately or be forced to inhabit Gojo's body forever; from a humanity standpoint, they didn't want Yuta to become an unscrupulous monster, but this point was dismissed by Yuta, who stated that they couldn't always let Gojo be the one to be a monster,) Yuta remained firm and obtained Gojo's consent.
With the help of Shoko Ieiri and Rin Amai, Yuta successfully activated the technique, entered Gojo's stitched-up remains, immediately used Reverse Cursed Technique to repair the body, and instantly burst into the battlefield. Sukuna, who was fighting Itadori and Todo, was greatly surprised by the return of "Gojo," but soon realized it was Yuta's doing and immediately attacked him. As "Malevolent Shrine" and "Unlimited Void" reappeared on the battlefield, the revenge match between the strongest in history and the "strongest of the modern era" began. The Gojo controlled by Yuta engaged in a fierce battle with Sukuna within the domain barrier. Because Yuta was not yet familiar with his teacher's body, some of his attacks failed to hit accurately. More critically, Rika did not follow him into Gojo's remains, so Yuta could only use "Limitless" and could not activate any other techniques. However, Sukuna's situation was also not optimistic; his severed left arm had not recovered, meaning the world-cutting slash could not be activated. Yuta attempted to release "Hollow Purple," and seeing this, Sukuna immediately tried to interrupt his chanting. But unexpectedly, the Yuta-version of Gojo still managed to fire "Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue," pulling a recorder toward him. From the recorder came Toge Inumaki's Cursed Speech: "Don't move!". Inumaki's Cursed Speech successfully froze Sukuna, and Yuta took the opportunity to complete his chant and fire Hollow Purple at Sukuna. Purple hit Sukuna, and both their domains collapsed. Yuta, Itadori, and Todo attacked Sukuna together. However, after the domain shattered, Yuta quickly entered a technique burnout period, and Kenjaku's technique also failed. Gojo's body collapsed to the ground, and Yuta inside the shell could only watch as Itadori and Todo faced Sukuna. While Itadori and Sukuna fought within Itadori's domain, the King of Curses discovered that Itadori's left hand was missing two fingers instead of the one he remembered. He realized that the reason Yuta could use his Shrine technique during their previous fight was not because he used Sukuna's last finger, but because Rika had consumed Itadori's fingers, which had the Shrine technique engraved in them. The real finger was still in Jujutsu High's possession. After Sukuna's death, Yuta successfully returned to his own body. It turned out that after he entered Gojo's body, Rika had been repairing and maintaining his original physical body. After Yuta finished his Domain Expansion and entered the technique burnout period, he fell into a state of suspended animation. But at that moment, Rika reconnected him to his body and continuously outputted Reverse Cursed Technique to him, allowing him to survive. During the post-war review, Yutawas kneelingand was criticized by Maki for his performance in the fight; Maki suggested that she should have been the one to kill Kenjaku instead of Yuta Okkotsu, etc.Hindsight criticism。 A few months after the Shinjuku Showdown ended, Yuta, Maki, Inumaki, and Panda—the second-year students—fought side by side once again. |

In 2086, 68 years after the Shinjuku Showdown, Yuta Okkotsu had already passed away peacefully six years prior at the age of 79. Four years before his death, the elderly Yuta passed the ring given to him by Rika—which he had always worn as a treasure on his chest—to his and Maki's granddaughter, Yuuka Okkotsu, who had been closest to him for a long time.Additionally, the manga mentions that Maki passed away before Yuta. The ring was later transferred to Yuuka's older brother, Shinken Okkotsu—the grandson of Yuta and Maki—due to the Gojo family rules. Later, Shinken was defeated in a duel with aliens, and the ring he wore on his chest suddenly lit up, and the "Queen of Curses," Rika Orimoto, appeared before him.Of course, it's not the person herself, but the Shikigami Rika created by Yuta Okkotsu.. Although the Shikigami Rika felt very annoyed seeing Shinken, who looked more and more like Maki, she stated that because she received a request from Yuta, she would help Shinken achieve victory. It can be inferred that Yuta Okkotsu likely asked Rika to look after his descendants who wear that ring. |
