冬が来る——嬉しくて切ない、永遠の一瞬が
Winter has come—that bittersweet, eternal moment
"WHITE ALBUM2", also known as"White Album 2"(Japanese:White Album 2) is aLeafis an 18+ game, and has derivative works such as anime.
The game was released in two parts: introductory chapter (commonly known as IC, Introductory Chapter) and closing chapter (commonly known as CC, Closing Chapter), while CC further includes the Closing Chapter and the final chapter (coda). IC was released on March 26, 2010, and CC was released on December 22, 2011.
Although this work inherits the name of the previous work, "WHITE ALBUM", but withPrevious workandNonesomeplot connection, the commonality between the two is that both stories take place in winter. The difference is that the overall concept of the previous work lies in the theme of "infidelity", while also creatingFujii Touya(one of the four great scumbags of anime), whereas this work leans more towardsKono Aozora ni Yakusoku oa relatively gentle worldview and the like. The script for the anime story is handled by the original game's [author]Fumiaki Marutopersonally, so the style has a unique dark atmosphere. Both gentle and dark, huh...
Due to the extremely delicate emotional descriptions in this work, which are reflected not only in the massive amount of text but also in the twists, turns, and immersion of the emotional plot between the three high school students (IC), it is regarded as one of the pinnacles of such games. Consequently, many players have become so immersed that they experiencestomach paindiscomfort, hence it is jokingly called a "30-rated" romance game, which is trulywell-deserved。

When playing this work, please be sure to prepareStomach medicineand cardiotonics (just kidding). Althoughexcept for Haruki in CC accidentally cutting his finger while chopping vegetables upon hearing Chiaki play the guitar, and Touma's finger-biting oath in Coda, there are no depictions of bloodshed, but the latter half is filled with continuous painful scenes that make one want to vomit. This is also one of the reasons why it enjoys the reputation of being a "masterpiece that makes you quit being an otaku" in the Chinese ACG community.
The music used in the work includes the following from the previous title: "WHITE ALBUM》《SOUND OF DESTINY》《POWDER SNOW》《Deeply loves", as well as "届かない恋》([285] love that cannot be conveyed,)、《幸せな記憶》(Shiawase na Kioku) and other high-quality tracks. The soundtrack can be seen as another soul of this work; the aforementioned songs have numerous versions available on major licensed platforms (such as Apple Music and Spotify).

Most of the following bonuses are included in the Extended Edition released in 2018 as special content.
A long bonus scenario released in 2012 for the PS3 version of White Album 2, serving as a sequel to the "Cheating Route" in Coda. It was ported to the PC platform in the 2018 Extended Edition.
The basic content involves Kazusa and Setsuna talking on the phone to resolve their issues, and Haruki and Setsuna repairing their relationship.
The length of this bonus is staggering, even longer than the Cheating Route without the H-scenes. To some extent, it can be considered the true core of the Cheating Route; highly recommended.
This is an AVG video bonus included in the 6th volume of the White Album 2 Blu-ray.
The first half features Kazusa and Setsuna on the train heading to the school festival, while the second half depicts Haruki accidentally entering the music room and encountering either Kazusa or Setsuna...who is changing clothes.plot.

Piano is Touma's primary means of communicating with the outside world, so a lot of thought went into selecting the piano pieces for this work. Those interested can read the following article.
Analysis of Classical Music in WA2[1]
IC All the tracks used in the IC, except for those adapted from poems, end in FF (fortissimo). This arrangement actually hints at the existence of CODA. Of course, if you listen carefully to the end of the BGMs, the tails of all the tracks in the game have been cut off. Producer-san, you are truly too cunning.

In the game and the fifth episode of the anime, when Setsuna is about to enter the second music room and Haruki asks for the password, she says this line.
The origin of this phrase is from the beginning of a song that Japanese actor Tomu Miyazakiparodiesperformed. "This is that woman's house, isn't it!"Because it's important, I said it twice……
The original song title is "あの女のハウス ~彼を返して ……あとお金貸して!~" (That woman's house ~ Give him back to me... and hey, lend me some money), which tells the story of a female protagonist visiting someone else's home in the middle of the night to find news of her boyfriend Makoto and catch him cheating. In the end, she realizes she has the wrong person but still asks the other person to lend her money for the fare home.
The song itself wasn't a major meme, but someone paired it with footage of the WHITE ALBUM protagonists Yuki and Rina to create a MAD, which became a legendary Flash work of its time. It seems Leaf was also aware of this MAD and directly incorporated this reference back into WHITE ALBUM 2.
In the fifth episode of the anime, to recreate the comedic effect of this MAD, the production team specifically invited Tomu Miyazaki to voice the character "Teacher Miyazaki" in the anime.
Near the end of the anime, Teacher Miyazaki's lines are full of malice:
| “ | This is that woman's house. Return him or carry on money on here. ここがあの女のハウス | ” |

There are many theories; here are a few selected ones:
Of course, everyone has their own version. If anything is missing, feel free to add, but please do not post spoilers.
Faction wars, as the name suggests, are struggles between factions, meaning two or moreoo PartyWhite Album scholarsin a long-lasting war between them.
This is particularly evident in White Album 2. However, please do not casually extend the topic of "faction wars" to other non-faction war works (such as works where the author has already stated it is "the story of him and her"), otherwise, it may lead to bad consequences.
Although there may be a small number ofChiakifaction,Harufaction,Marifactionand even a Mihoko faction, but undoubtedly in terms of numbers or popularity, they are far inferior to theSetsunafaction and theToumafaction.
Interestingly, among the faction names, except for the Touma faction, they are all based on the characters they like'sas famous...named after. It is rare to see statements from self-proclaimedKazusa Factionmembers, because Kazusa's Japanese nameかずさis the only name that does not appear with its corresponding kanji in the game's cutscenes, and in early fan translation texts, it was commonly translated asWasakiinstead ofKazusa. Therefore, before the complete fan translation version became widely available, "Touma," which was certain, gradually replaced "Wasaki" as the faction name.
A few noteworthy facts regarding thefinal resultsof the waifu wars are as follows:
Feel free to add facts and results about the waifu wars, but please do not define waifu wars as mere verbal sparring.
The art style and lines of the character sprites in this work have been widely criticized. Almost all major and minor characters (excluding some in the CC route) have few decent sprites until the Coda chapter. Compared to the remake of the previous work from the same period, this is truly a regression. All of this should be attributed to the main artist for the character spritesTakeshi Nakamura。Awakened strange fetishes
